INTRODUCTION

In collaboration with Habitat for Humanity Sunshine Coast, Lincoln Construction proudly delivered a 6,000-square-foot fourplex designed to create long-term, affordable housing for local working families.

Designed to support the Habitat mission of building strength, stability, and independence through housing, the quadplex provides four self-contained units, each a secure foundation for the families who now call them home.

INSIGHT

With this fourplex, the goal was to deliver energy-efficient homes that meet today’s performance standards and to do it in a way that was cost-conscious, collaborative, and fast-tracked to meet funding timelines and occupancy needs.

This project demonstrates how thoughtful planning and modern building technologies can directly benefit the people who need it most.

DESIGN & CONSTRUCTION CONSIDERATIONS

Prefab Wall Systems for Speed & Performance

To meet the demands of both funding and energy performance requirements (including BC Energy Step Code 4), Lincoln Construction collaborated with BC Passive House to develop prefabricated wall panels..

5 Day Turnaround Framing - Completion

Thanks to intensive preplanning and modular panelization, we completed wall and roof framing in just five working days. This overlap in panel fabrication and foundation work shortened the schedule and reduced scaffold time onsite.

TESTIMONIAL

“Habitat wishes to give a big thanks and job well done to Erik and the whole Lincoln Construction team. They did a great job at our Habitat Sunshine Village completing a fourplex, the last building in the development. We really appreciated their professionalism and flexibility through out the project.”
