Georgie Award-Winning Homebuilding on the Sunshine Coast: The Nest, Keats Island
We’re excited to share that The Nest on Keats Island has been officially recognized at the Georgie Awards, winning the award for Custom Home valued $1,000,000 - $1,500,000.
This project has always felt a bit different to us, not just because of the remote location, but because of what it took to bring it to life.
Why This Win Matters to Us
This is our first Georgie Award for a Lincoln Construction project, and it means a lot! We're so proud to win an award for a project that was carefully planned, well executed, and built to perform in a challenging environment. It’s so affirming that a cool project that was clearly a logistical challenge right from the start has received recognition in our industry!
For homeowners, it’s a clear sign that the upfront work, the planning, the coordination, the tough decisions early on really does pay off.
For us, it’s a moment to step back and appreciate the team effort behind it, and to keep pushing that standard forward. Particularly with complex builds with demanding logistics. A True Team Effort
Projects like this don’t happen without a strong team. From design through to install, this was a highly collaborative process. Everyone involved, designers, trades, engineers, and suppliers had to be aligned early and stay aligned throughout. There’s a level of trust required on projects like this, especially when so much is decided before anything arrives on site.
We’re grateful to have worked alongside a great group of people on this project:
Architect: Daria Sheina Studio
Prefabrication Team: BC Passive House
Structural / Engineering: Equilibrium Consulting
