A Collaborative Community Project for One Straw Society
At Lincoln Construction, we believe building community goes beyond the homes and structures we create. We feel so privileged and fortunate to live, work and play in such a beautiful part of the world, and when we have the opportunity to support a worthwhile cause, we will. To us, building community in the Sunshine Coast is about showing up where we live, lending a hand, and working together to make good things happen.
That’s why we were so proud to support One Straw Society’s latest initiative at the Tiny Farm Hub: a brand-new Community Kitchen and commissary space in the heart of Roberts Creek, designed to nourish, connect, and reduce waste on the Sunshine Coast.
We’ve loved being part of this collaborative community building effort. Alongside some dedicated volunteers, organizations, and local businesses, we helped bring the kitchen space to life by donating the construction of the patio and offering support with permitting, planning, and building logistics (with a big assist from Lon’s Crane!).
The Tiny Farm kitchen will serve as a multi-purpose hub. It’ll be a place to prepare meals for neighbours in need, process the farm’s harvest and host workshops. Additionally, it’ll be a place to preserve surplus food that would otherwise go to waste, to ensure residents on the Sunshine Coast get the most out of fresh local produce. It’s a space built for sharing knowledge, building skills, enjoying meals together and gathering as a community.
The kitchen is close to complete, but One Straw still has a few wishlist items to fully outfit the space, and they’re always open to more community involvement and donations.

We’re grateful to be part of a community where people care deeply, give generously, and build together. This is what makes the small-but-mighty Sunshine Coast community special.
